Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers (Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers) is the only technical university in Uzbekistan that trains specialists for the railway. It was founded in 1931 as the Central Asian Institute of Railway Engineers. In 1937, it was renamed the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers and today is a higher education institution within the State Joint-Stock Railway Company "Uzbekistan Railways".
During its history, the institute has trained more than 50 people, including about 5 engineers, more than 7 bachelors and 840 masters during the years of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
