The Presidential Decree "On measures to effectively organize the activities of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and organizations within its system" (PF-79, 26.05.2023) was adopted.
According to the decree, from the academic year 2023/2024, step by step:
👉 educational programs and teaching-methodical complexes are introduced to the students in the 1st-4th grades of the schools, in the elementary grades, in the 5th-9th grades, and in the 10th-11th grade students' interests and abilities;
👉 a new evaluation procedure will be introduced. In this, the student's ability to apply the subject in practice, critical thinking and analysis skills are evaluated;
👉 informatics classes are held in primary classes, and financial literacy classes are held in secondary classes;
👉 the share of practical training in all subjects will be increased to 60%.
👉 From January 2024, 1, professional certification of teachers who are being recruited to the school for the first time will be introduced.
In this case, from the 2023/2024 academic year, teachers will work as trainee teachers and will be required to receive a certificate in 1 year.
👉 From January 2024, 1, a new procedure for awarding the qualification category to pedagogues of state kindergartens, schools and out-of-school educational organizations will be introduced.
In this case, tests for the qualification category are held at least once a year in two stages, and in the first stage, the level of knowledge of the applicant's specialty subject and professional standard is assessed, and in the second stage, pedagogical skills are evaluated.
👉 From June 2024, 1, the salary of teachers with higher education in kindergartens will be equal to the salary of school teachers.
