MUHAMMAD YUSUF

Graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Russian Language and Literature (1978). He held various positions in the Republican Society of Book Lovers (1978-80), the newspaper "Tashkent Evening" (1980-86), the Publishing House of Literature and Art named after Gafur Gulam (1986-95). From 1995 to 97 he was the head of the department of the magazine "Tafakkur", from 1997 to 2001 he was the deputy chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan. Deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The first poems of M.Yu. were published in the weekly "Literature and Art of Uzbekistan" (1976). Since then, his poems, essays and articles have been published regularly in the national press. His first book of poems was Tanish Teraklar (1985). "I have a word for the nightingale" (1987), "Prayer" (1988), "Sleeping girl", "Halima enam allalari" (1989), "Ship of love" (1990), "A friend in my heart" (1991), His books of poetry include Bevafo Kop Ekan, Yolgonchi Yor (1993), Erka Kiyik (1995), and Osmonimga Alyp Ketam (1998). In the poems included in these books, M.Yu. Along with the noblest and highest human qualities of the generation to which he belongs, the joy of youth, the delicate melodies of love and affection, the Uzbek, simple, but at the same time noble, virgin and unique feelings and experiences are vividly expressed. Skillful use of the artistic potential of the word, musical fluency, clarity of feelings, sincerity and gentleness, the ability to express the scenes of the soul in a concise and unambiguous way M.Yu. are the leading features of the poetic style. Most of his poems are performed by famous singers. M.Yu. while his work was flourishing, he died on a creative journey to meet poetry fans in Ellikkala district. He was buried in Andijan.
