May 12 is International Nurses Day

Every year on May 12, International Nurses Day is celebrated. In other words, there is reason to thank and congratulate once again the representatives of the most humane profession today. Nurses are specialists with primary medical education, who carry out orders and instructions given by a doctor or paramedic to care for patients, are mandatory assistants to these doctors, as if they are working directly with the patient during treatment. At present, nurses are the largest category of health care workers, as a large proportion of medical services in medical practice are known to be the services of only nursing staff. The celebration of the nursing profession is celebrated on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, a famous Englishman who organized the world’s first compassionate nursing service during the Crimean War (1853-1856). It is known that among the front-runners of the Crimean War were the nuns of the Moscow-Nikolskaya obitel. Among those who worked at the hospital were the wife and daughter of Emperor Nicholas II. It was during the war that a stereotype was formed that a nurse was a nurse who would take the wounded off the battlefield or stand at the operating table.
