     Very little information has reached us about the life and work of Muhammad Sharif Gulkhani. However, even from the information in tazkira and historical works, Gulkhani appeared as a creator who was able to leave an indelible mark on Uzbek classic literature.
He grew up in the literary environment of Ko'kan, a writer who made a great contribution to Uzbek classical prose, and it is known that he is a talented poet from his few humorous and lyrical poems.
     Gulkhani was born in Karategin. He studies in Namangan and Ko'kan madrasahs. She does many jobs, including being a housekeeper in the palace of Ko'kan Khan. Muhammad Sharif lived in difficult economic conditions. Amir Umar Khan - Gulkhani was one of the many talented writers around him when he sat on the throne of Amiry Koqan. He created the work "Zarbulmasal" on the recommendation and assignment of Umar Khan. This example of creativity is a moral-didactic and critical work, in which a very deep and serious social content is reflected through figurative symbols. At the same time, the unique features of the Uzbek language are reflected in this work.
"Zarbulmasal" contains more than a dozen prose and poetic parables, short stories and stories that are coherently connected to each other. This is a small work, artistically mature, glorifying moral and educational ideas. It glorifies feelings such as honesty, correctness, nobility, loyalty and loyalty, and condemns negative traits such as arrogance, recklessness, ignorance, betrayal. For example, in the proverbs "The Monkey and the Monkey", "The Tortoise and the Scorpion" it is emphasized that stupidity, ignorance and betrayal lead to tragedy; The parable "The bush with a camel" reflects a deep socio-educational content. Several lyrical and comic poems of Gulkhani in Uzbek and Persian have also arrived. Fazli mentions in his essay that he also created under the pseudonym "Jur'at".
     Poet Gulkhani is a talented poet, a skilled storyteller who contributed to the development of our national literature.
