The talented composer Muhammad Abdsharipovich Otajonov was born in the family of artists on September 1959, 16 in the city of Urganch. His father, composer Abdusharip Otajonov, and his mother, Bekajon Rahimova, noticed Muhammadjon's talent for music from childhood and paid great attention to his upbringing. He learned elementary music literacy from his father. He studied piano at the music (now "art") school named after Otaniyozov. After graduating from the seventh grade, in 1973 he began studying piano at the Urganch Music Academy named after M. Kharratov. While studying in the third year, he took part in the inter-university pianist competition of the Republic of Music and received a 3rd degree diploma.
In the 1976-1977 academic year, he studied for one year at the preparatory department of the Tashkent State Conservatory named after M. Ashrafiy, and in 1977-1982, he took lessons at NB Gienko at the main stage of the piano faculty. While studying at the conservatory, the young musician was interested in composing music. Therefore, in 1982, he was admitted to the second year of the composition department of the conservatory. After returning from military service, he continued his interrupted studies. In 1989, Muhammadjon graduated from the conservatory for the second time. Since 1989, he has been working as a concertmaster, teacher and music editor at the Radio of Uzbekistan Youth channel at the conducting department of the Uzbek folk instruments orchestra of the Tashkent State Institute of Culture named after A. Qadiri.
  1. Otajonov won the second prize in the competition of young composers held in 1985 and 1987. In 1989, he presented his three-part concerto for piano and symphony orchestra as his graduation thesis.
  2. Otajhonov has been pleasing the music community by creating musical pieces in various genres on a national basis. Three-part concerto for piano and orchestra of folk instruments, second concerto for piano and symphony orchestra, three-part suite for orchestra of folk instruments. These include the Piano Duet, the Third Concerto for Piano and Symphony Orchestra, and the Three-Part Concerto for Law and Orchestra. Due to the fact that the main leading characters in the composer's work are enriched with folk intonations of the musical language, these works put the listener's heart into various states with a modern spirit, excite them and invite them to the world of beauty.
  3. Atajonov has also been creating in musical drama and comedy genres, beloved by the Uzbek people. He composed music for the following stage productions: 1991 musical drama "Whoever is faithful..." (H. Muhammed pesasi), 1992 tragicomedy "Who loves my lamp" (Yu. Juchik pesasi, Yugoslavia), 1994 musical drama "Enchanting Hearts" (S. Soliev and H. Rasul's poems). 1999 musical drama "Ogahiy" (K. Avaz pesasi).
These works were staged at the Urganch Musical Drama and Comedy Theater named after Ogahi. There is an inextricable connection between the composer's works written for musical instruments and the music of these stage works.
Since our country gained independence, there has been a turning point in the creative direction of M. Otajanov. He has been enriching the repertoire of singers by creating many attractive songs on various topics. Among them are "Sweet memory" and "I miss you" (words by S. Rustam). "Take care of my old country" (words by O. Odilkhanov), "Play" (N. Narzullaev). "Let there be a wedding" (word of the people), "Kalam kosh" (word of Z. Obidov), "Karashlaring" (word of O. Erkin). "Delicious" and "Star". "If I sing such a song", "Asrolmadim" (words by M. Otajonov). "Understand me" (lyrics by L. Kochimov). "Girl" (lyrics by P. Mo`min), "Spring has come" (lyrics by Shamsiya). "I strive to live" (words by T. Niyazov), "Setor" (ghazal by B. Mashrab). "Jalaluddin". There is "Urganchim" (words by O. Matchon).
  1. Otajonov composed many choral songs for children. Including "Assalam", "Beozor musicha", "Sparrow", "Mother" and others. People's artist of Uzbekistan, conductor Sh. Under the leadership of Yormatov, the 5000 children's choir performed the songs "Uzbekistim" (words by Qambar ota) and "Navrozjan" (words by Z. Mominov) of M. Otajanov won the second prize. It's done. 1998 M. Otajonov composed music for the play "Sin".
