Pavel Valerevich Durov (born October 1984, 10) is a Russian businessman, known as the founder of the social network VK and later the founder of Telegram Messenger. He is the brother of Nikolai Durov. In 2017, Pavel joined the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a representative of young global leaders.Pavel Durov was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) but spent most of his childhood in Turin, Italy. His father, Valery, was a doctor of philology. He attended Italian primary school and studied at the Academic Gymnasium in St. Petersburg (before Kaliningrad) after returning to Russia in 2001. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University, where he received his first degree. Durov is named after Russia's Mark Zuckerberg (about whom an article is being published). In August 2014, Durov was named the most promising leader in Northern Europe under the age of 30.
