Scan your computer for viruses with Microsoft Defender
🛡 As we said earlier, Microsoft Defender is a built-in protection program that comes with the Windows operating system.
⚙️ Microsoft Defender is accessed by clicking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and Open Windows Security as shown in Figure 1 and 2 (or you can access it by clicking the Windows icon in the lower right corner).
✅ If you have all the signs in green as in Figure 3, then there is no need to worry, your computer is protected by Microsoft Defender.
❌ Otherwise, if any section has a red mark, then that section is not working (Figure 4). To use, just click the Turn on button.
🔍 If you want to scan your computer for viruses, go to Virus & threat protection and click Quick scan. In a short time, your computer will be checked and the results will be displayed.
