IRON DEFICIENCY IN THE BLOOD

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

Today, the word "hemoglobin" is well known to many, even those who are far from medicine. Because thirty percent of the world's population suffers from this disease.

We talked with a doctor of the highest category Husan Atashaykhov about anemia, its dangerous complications and ways to combat it.
Is the color of the blood actually green?
"Anemia" - translated from Latin into Uzbek means "ani" -negative, "brain" -blood.

What causes anemia?
Decreased levels of erythrocytes or iron in the blood lead to anemia.

Erythrocytes are the largest number of blood cells, producing 150 million red blood cells per minute. They live 90-120 days and nights. "Aging" erythrocytes break down in the blood vessels. Interestingly, the erythrocytes are taken separately and appear green when viewed from the pulp. But 95% of their base is hemoglobin - red blood cells.

What percentage of iron do men and women lose in a day and how much do they absorb?
Iron enters our body through food and is absorbed into the bloodstream in the small intestine. 2-2,5 mg per person per day. can only absorb iron. After all, iron in meat is more easily absorbed by the body than iron in plants and fruits. For example, if three percent of the iron in plants is assimilated, our body can easily absorb 18-22 percent of the iron in meat products.

In patients with anemia, iron absorption is doubled, meaning that the body itself actively fights the disease.

What is the norm?
Hemoglobin in the blood is 115-140 g / l in women, 125-160 g / l in men and 110-120 g / l in children. if so, this is the norm. If it is less than 115 g / l in women and 125 g / l in men, it indicates anemia.

The disease rate occurs in three stages. If the amount of hemoglobin in the blood is 90 g / l - mild, up to 90-60 g / l - moderate, below 60 g / l - severe anemia.

When the body lacks oxygen ?!
Due to the lack of hemoglobin in the blood, the brain, internal organs and all tissues lack oxygen. Therefore, such patients complain of fatigue, rapid fatigue, drowsiness. Lack of oxygen to the brain can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, tinnitus, and even fainting.

In anemic patients, the color fades like a wall. Lack of vitamin V / 12 - yellowish or grayish tinge. In children, the whites of the eyes appear bluish.

If the mother is anemic…
The mother provides the baby with oxygen. If the mother is anemic, as a result, the child is born with DTsP - pediatric cerebral palsy, intracranial pressure, affect - suffocation. Pregnant women lose 300-400 g of blood during childbirth, as well as during lactation - breastfeeding, mothers also lose iron. Also, because the mother is anemic, the child is also born with symptoms of anemia. Such children do not develop well both physically and mentally.

Is anemia a complication of other diseases?

Blood is mainly produced with the help of bone. If the bone marrow dries up as a result of radiation, it cannot produce erythrocytes.
Hemorrhoids, ulcers, menstrual disorders, bleeding due to injury, a decrease in iron in the blood.
Iron is not well absorbed due to inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Vomiting in the gut absorbs iron and prevents the absorption of vitamins into the body.
Lack of vitamins in food, the appearance of axillary cells in the body (due to cancer, bodily diseases), various poisonings also cause anemia.
