📃 On 15.03.2022, the Presidential Decree No. PP-167 "On additional measures to provide comprehensive support to the elderly, to improve their living standards" was adopted.
✅ According to the decision, it is prohibited to terminate an employment contract at the initiative of the employer because the employee has reached retirement age.
✅ In the resolution, the President instructed the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations to prepare a draft law on the implementation of the above issue.
✅ Earlier, the Presidential Decree No. PQ-07.03.2019 of 4235 stipulated that women could not be dismissed by their employers for another five years after reaching retirement age, ie until they reach the age of 60. I think this time the decision gives men the same right. Only in this decision is it unknown how many more years employees can work after retirement. We know this after the amendment to the Labor Code by law. Because if the relevant law does not amend Article 100 of the Labor Code, in practice, the game of whether the code is superior or not will begin.
