Eruption of deciduous teeth in children

When does a baby's baby teeth start to come out?

Normally, a baby’s baby teeth start to erupt at 5-6 months of age, and the eruption process lasts until 2 years of age.

If the child is low in calcium, then the eruption of milk teeth will be delayed. That is, it can come out from the age of 7-8 months, sometimes after the age of one. This condition can manifest itself as a sign of rickets.

If the amount of calcium is high, the teeth may come out earlier and the gums will heal faster. That is, baby teeth can be born before the baby is 3-4 months old, sometimes even earlier, and in some cases, baby teeth.

The baby teeth come out in sequence below

A child should normally have 8 teeth in his mouth when he is one year old and 20 teeth when he is two years old.

Sometimes mothers have questions. How many teeth should my child have per month?

We find the answer to this question by the following formula.

X = (n-12) +8

Here:

X is the number of teeth in children older than 1 year

n is the age of the child

For example, a child is 18 months old

(18-12) + 8 = 14

So it has 14 teeth. This is definitely an approximate number.

Symptoms of tooth decay

The following symptoms may occur, but not necessarily, when a child's teeth come out (these symptoms are not always observed):

1. The child's gums swell;

2. The child's property is painted white;

3. A lot of saliva flows;

4. The child wants to chew everything in his mouth;

5. Body temperature rises (up to a maximum of 37-38 degrees);

6. The child becomes more capricious;

7. The child's sleep is disturbed or sleep patterns change;

8. The child wants to bite the mother's breast or hand;

9. The child loses appetite;

10. The child's stool becomes thin, diarrhea.

Do not confuse the above symptoms with the symptoms of some diseases. For example, if a child's body temperature rises, the child coughs and has a runny nose, then the child may have a cold. Or if the child's diarrhea gets worse and vomiting is added, it means that the child has an infectious disease and should be treated immediately.

Therefore, if you observe the above symptoms in a child and suspect that they are not a disease, then it is better to consult a doctor.

How can a child with a toothache be helped?

As the baby's teeth erupt, he wants to bite everything. Because the teeth are itchy and there is some pain. That’s why he does a lot of whimsy.

1. The child should be given special gums, which are sold in pharmacies and help to break teeth. Note that the rubber should be soft.

2. There are special gels that help to break teeth:

💊 Kalgel
