National art is the pride of the nation
Applied decorative art embodies the national features of each nation, formed over the centuries, as an integral part of everyday life. But while the industries that have come down to us have retained their production style and art, they have changed considerably in terms of content and form. Archaeological finds in pre-Islamic monuments include ganch and ceramics, metal and gold ornaments, and attractive images depicted in murals. ), the content and form of all architectural applied decorative art changed after the propagation of Islam. In the past, geometric and plant-shaped ornaments took the place of monuments with great skill, depicting people, different animals, and events as a whole. In simple household items and decorations, the image of vivid images in luxurious architectural structures has almost disappeared due to Islamic beliefs.
Ganch carving is one of the most preserved works of applied art. The ancient ganch carvings found in historical monuments are mostly volumetric and distinguished by realistic images. For example, carvings in the luxurious palace hotels of the Turanian people, a monument of the III-IV centuries, plant motifs on the ganch discovered in the town of Varakhsha of that period, palmettes, ganch carved in the form of embossed fish, geometric shapes, images of birds, animals and fish are among the finest works of art. Ancient craftsmen worked by combining intricate patterns from images of plants and animals. The ganch is thickly plastered on the walls, columns and ceilings, and the image of the pattern is carved on the ganch itself by drawing a ball (pattern) directly on the ball.
