Askad Mukhtor: "It's hard to be a young writer"

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

It is in the hands of young people to pick and choose ideas and information from around the world. This freedom is good to teach a person such independence, but there is also the misguidance of youth.
It's good to be young. But it is also difficult. It’s especially hard to be a young writer. Because you have to educate both yourself and others. It's hard to be young. Not only because everyone is advising you, but also because you are young, it is difficult, the work of youth, the responsibility is heavy: you have to study, learn from teachers, master all the knowledge and skills created by previous generations, most the important thing is not just to chase the masters, but to pass, to add something to the treasure they have created. Otherwise, there will be no progress. Sometimes a student is surprised that he has passed the teacher, which is wrong. What is the point of being a disciple if you are not a teacher ?! If students don't pass through teachers, progress will stop, won't they? It makes no sense to pass from generation to generation. If an elder says to young people, "Don't go ahead of us, know your place!" that would be an absolute mistake. In his article, "Talent is the Property of the People," Abdullah Qahhor criticizes not only some of the elders on the issue, but also some of the cowardly young people who have turned the old tradition into a dogma and restrained their courage. "Say hello with respect, and if you need to, go ahead," said Abdulla.
Fortunately, almost all of our elders are always happy with the courageous aspirations of young people, trying to do things that the elderly can not do. Both our teachers and the Writers ’Union wholeheartedly support all the creative trials, courageous aspirations, and innovations that young people want to add to our literature.

Literature is not a garden of fame to be envied, or simply a profession to be pursued in many ranks. The literature includes a lifelong human burn. It is better not to have a writer if there is not a flame burning in every play. Writing is, in my opinion, the most interesting, the most passionate life. In this case, the result of the activity is not only the work itself, but also the process, the process of research, the search, the search for life itself. Each time you have to open a new world for yourself and the reader. The publishing process is continuous; as many writers as there are methods; everyone seeks the essence of the complexities of life on his own, everyone boils in his heart, offers his inspiration, his passion. To say a few words, he must know a lot, see a lot, know events, biographies, facts, feelings, thoughts, psychology. There are areas that an engineer or academic does not need to know. The writer does not have such a field. The author's life experience, biography - a golden fund. He needs to start creating it now.
The source of knowledge in youth,
Spend time in old age!
Hazrat Navoi did not say this in vain. There is no need to procrastinate. As a person gets older, he wants to sleep softer, to sit more comfortably, to just drive, to cross rivers, to climb mountains, to walk in the desert.
A writer has to be talented - I can’t advise where to get talent. The writer must be an educated, well-educated, high-level person. You know where to get it, you have to study for a lifetime. I don’t want to sit down and start the work alphabetically, saying I need to read.
A writer must be an experienced person who has seen a lot, tasted bitterness, can analyze the good and the bad. I think we need to pause a bit when it comes to that. That is, we are talking about the image of the author. I am convinced that in any work of art there is a "author's image" that unites everything and adds color to the whole work. Belinsky also spoke about "Eugene Onegin" and said that the artistic center in the novel is the image of the author. The level of the work does not exceed the level of the author. The author's pleasure, knowledge, attitude, heart, views, experience - are stamped on the work. The book is extremely subjective in this respect. Therefore, the writer must first be able to place himself in a certain, necessary place in the life of the people. People need to be able to put all aspects of their lives - both the hard and the good - in a visible place.

While the biblical nature of the origins of talent is hampered, there is no doubt that talent finds it difficult to connect with life at a young age. Apparently, seeing life, knowing, a meaningful way of life - is not enough. They can't move into the work on their own. In addition to seeing the world, it is necessary to be able to perceive it through the eyes of a writer, to comprehend it, to write it down through the heart. It is very important to master the vital essence of literature and to be able to connect creativity with life.
I’m not saying that the characters in the book shouldn’t be jealous, they shouldn’t be sick, they shouldn’t visit. On the contrary, it is all vital; but there must be meaningful events in the life of the protagonist that glorify him as a man of our society, after all.

The classic teaches: you have to fill up first. The main idea fills itself up. You will love it. You want to say it.
One should not start writing without feeling such discomfort, desire, strong need.
Every true work has its own philosophy. The main philosophical thought should be to annoy, torment, and harass you both before, during, and after writing the work. Without it, the work will be immediately ignored, and without the main idea, the philosophy of life, the charcoal, the reader will not burn.

We have many poems that resemble a series of thoughtful, philosophical poems. There are sometimes dozens of lyrical digressions in them, such types are also needed, it is impossible to give a prescription that “a poem should just be like this”. But we want to see the character of man, the living image, the name-body, the character of a man who lives as wide as in prose, as concrete as a man who walks beside us eating and drinking and working.
If only human life, which includes time, destiny, history, society, personality, tragedy, philosophy, struggle, joy, could be described. The possibilities of a classical poem of such a lyro-epic character are not exhausted. If only young people could take these opportunities into their own hands. And the possibilities of an inner monologue-type poem, in my opinion, are running out. This is evident both from the fact that they have remained similar to each other in recent times, and from the failure of many poets in this field. The next principle of the poem needs the opinion of theorists, it would be good if the critics would complete the experiment in this chapter.
In genres other than poetry, youth poetry is growing at an astonishing rate. Thoughts, the position of youth, the worry that it will determine the way of life, an inner anxiety are gaining more and more ground in it. Thought, feeling, philosophy are chasing the celebration.

It is important to note that the general ideological and artistic direction of youth creativity, including young poetry, is healthy. The brightest talents are constantly searching, finding wonderful images, evoking delicate emotions, thinking about the time and man, striving to artistically express the lofty ideas - the noble wishes, aspirations and struggles of the people… These are the whole life beauty, complexity, with all its reality, they must learn to go deeper and broader.
In poetry, it is not enough to tell, describe, show, teach, poetry must enchant, think, lift the spirits, give strength, reveal and amaze the whole beauty of every figurative word .
Let me mention one shortcoming here. This is because poetry is written so much. No matter which editorial office, which publishing house, which discussion board you go to - you can definitely find 5-10 folders of poetry.
"Writing a good poem is not an easy task!"
This is Pushkin's line. Pushkin said this when he was 14 years old.
“A good poem
ox - shaydi life,
Writing a good poem
- It is not an easy task! ”
This was stated by Stepan Shipachev. At the age of 60.
This idea is for all time, for the young and the wise old, for all. Today we repeat it. Man’s pursuit of beauty is infinite. In poetry, the possibilities of beauty in the artistic word are endless. It is therefore true that Leo Tolstoy copied his great epic seven times.
Some newspapers exaggerate the fact that a lot of poetry is being written, especially in the analysis of young people’s poems. That is, our young people are zealous, they put their thoughts into poetry out of the happiness of the workers, and so on.
There is an “author”. Probably not the head of the correspondence department, who did not know his name. He has been sending five poems a day to all the editors on a regular basis for ten years. Not a single poem has been published in ten years. He is immediately recognized by the editors. They did not answer: it is useless, the "poet" rhymed.
I don’t think it’s out of happiness. It is out of disrespect for the word, out of inability to marvel at beauty, and sometimes out of ignorance and ignorance.
Dear friends, Lermontov published only one book in his life.
Blok wrote in his notebook: “The thought came to me that I should not write the poem. I'm afraid I'm too good at writing poetry. "
At this point, I would like to dwell on the attitude of our literary criticism to the work of young people. So far, our critics are not specifically involved in youth creativity. The works of young people are mentioned only in general articles, often only as a negative example. Moreover, it is sometimes mentioned only superficially, without understanding the essence of the work. On the surface, as Navoi puts it, sugar is both white and salt.
In order to educate young people in the spirit of a healthy attitude to criticism, first of all, the criticism itself must be reasonable, sincere and convincing. They say no one likes criticism; but sincere, kind, and demanding criticism is respected by talented young people. I once said somewhere: only paper flowers are afraid of rain.

Another important issue in the work of young people is that we do not pay enough attention to the diversity of genres and styles in young literature. Stories, narratives, poems - these are the genres for now.

"Look at the passage of time!" Didn’t we look forward to the new year soon? Here he is again on the threshold…
Especially on New Year's Eve, you often hear this kind of talk. Someone says it with joy, someone with a philosophical thought. But the meaning is the same: life goes on…
They even invented a New Year's Eve zap! If it weren't for this holiday, if people didn't gather and have fun, everyone would be left alone, overwhelmed with sad thoughts.
What if it was in vain? What greater tragedy could there be than to remember a life spent in vain?
We don't remember the wasted hours, they are forgotten. In fact, they are each a small tragedy. Because when you collect them, you realize that a certain part of it is wasted, even if it is not life itself. In a "certain part" of life, someone advocates science, someone travels the world, someone learns Arabic, someone…
Some people "joke" around the tape recorder all night, or sleep soundly during the day, even if they are not tired, and talk in the cafeteria until late at night, or watch TV, not watching TV, and watching TV in vain. misses.
A person who does not have his own rich spiritual world, necessary thoughts, quickly becomes bored, afraid to be alone. He tries to share both his money and his time in courtship.
"Let's talk nonsense," he said to people like himself.
They make a decision, take a bottle and go to "kill" time. Hours of useless talk, about the price, about someone putting a wife…
We are not against courtesy, entertaining meetings, sincere sitting of people who need each other’s spiritual influence. But it’s surprising that there are people who don’t know where to put their time. Do people who do not spare hours think that life consists of these hours?
Some may say, "Oh, in a dying world."
Plato had learned to sit tight at night on the day he was sentenced to be shot. "Man who dies in the morning, what do you do for a living?" "I won't have time to study it tomorrow," he said.
One life. And what a person knows, learns, and discovers is innumerable. A meaningful past life is a miracle. It's hard to say about Alisher Navoi in vain:
Perfect my profession, the world is home
It is obligatory upon you to grieve before you die.
It is impossible to pass the world unfinished
Erur bathing dirty…
