The theater building was renovated in 2001 to meet modern requirements. After the renovation, the building received a completely new look, equipped with modern technical and engineering equipment. The main style consists of columns, the roof is in the form of a curved arch, 3 entrance doors are arched. The foyer and the hall were freed from heavy equipment: the ceiling of the foyer was decorated with an ornate dome, and the ceiling of the auditorium was decorated with a hanging dome with clouds floating in the sky, surrounded by chandeliers reminiscent of flower petals. A unique 7-part lighting system was used to illuminate the hall. The 2 sides of the building have been widened to 7 m. There is a lobby on the 8st floor, a music hall "Maqom" on the right wing of the 1nd floor, theatrical management rooms on the left wing, and a theater museum on the 2rd floor. In the basement of the building there is a small hall, a gym for staff and other rooms, a wardrobe. There are 3 cash desks and bars in the style of the main style.
The walls of the hall are decorated with plaster in the form of curtains, and in the intervals there are vertical rows of gilded blue tiles. The stage is decorated with gold embroidery. The wooden barriers in the large (540 seats) and small (110) halls, foyer and staircase are from Italy; the foundation of the hall is made of jade, the foyer is made of light marble. The doors are attractively decorated with wood carvings.
The architectural solution of the building is based on traditional national architectural methods. The building is in harmony with the buildings on Navoi Street built in the 50s. The row of columns on the roof continues on the side-style cornices. The main staircase in stylobate, wall and arch shape is made of red granite, the footings and the foundation of the building are covered with large slabs. The architectural parts of the roof ensemble, the tops of the columns, and the side-shaped columns were cast in concrete and then painted. Masters of the Us To Association, the Experimental Sculpture Factory, the Tashkent Ceramics Plant, the Ilhom Theater and others worked hard to create the building decorations. The stained glass windows in front are blue and the sides are made of gold glass.
Particular attention was paid to the exterior lighting of the building: the lights and projectors installed under the pillars show the magnificence of the building at night.
