White blood cell disease - leukemia.

Before giving information about the disease, I would like to give information about blood. We can divide the blood into two parts:

Plasma is the liquid part of the blood.
Shaped elements are the cellular composition of blood. We divide these cells into 3 major groups:
An erythrocyte is a red blood cell. One of its main functions is to carry oxygen in the blood (there are many other functions).
Leukocytes are white blood cells. This group of cells responds to a process known as the body's "army."
Platelets play a key role in blood clotting.
Leukemia (white blood cell, leukemia) is an increase in the number of mutated white blood cells in the body. These mutated cells replace healthy cells. There are many types of leukocytes, depending on the type, mature or immature.

Spread.

American scientists estimate that it occurs in 100 out of every 000 people. Most affected are young children (25-3 years old) and the elderly (4-60 years old).

Reasons. In modern medicine, the exact cause has not been determined. Probable causes are:

Ionizing radiation. When the atomic bomb exploded in Japan, people within a radius of 1,5 km were 45 times more likely to be infected.
Carcinogens. Some drugs and chemicals.
Heredity. If there is a disease in the family, the probability of meeting it in children increases 3-4 times.
Virus. It binds to DNA in the human cell and mutates it. This is just a possibility.
Some species depend on the human race and the geological zone in which they live.
