What is the difference between conventional braking system and ABS braking system?
When it comes to the car's braking system, people are curious about what ABS (Anti-lock braking system) or anti-lock braking system actually is and what its function is.
Normal braking system
uses friction to stop the car. When you press the brake pedal, the brake pads are pushed against the rotors, which creates friction and slows the car down (Figure 4).
ABS braking system
The ABS brake system uses a computer to control brake pressure. When you press the brake pedal, the computer monitors the speed of each wheel. If it detects wheel lock, it releases brake pressure in a fraction of a second. This allows the wheel to continue spinning and prevents the vehicle from losing control.
