Samarkand State University entrance points, admission quotas

On January 1927, 22, the Uzbek Pedagogical Institute was established in Samarkand. In 1930, the institute was renamed the Uzbek State Pedagogical Academy.

In 1933, the Uzbek State University was established on the basis of the Pedagogical Academy and the Uzbek State Medical Institute.

In 500, on the occasion of the 1941th anniversary of the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, the university was named after him. In 1941-1944, the State University of Uzbekistan was temporarily merged with the Tashkent State University, and on March 1944, 24, the university resumed its independent activities in Samarkand.

In 1960, the State University of Uzbekistan was renamed Samarkand State University named after Alisher Navoi (SamSU)

Scientists of Samarkand State University cooperate on the basis of international programs TASIS, TEMPUS, EUROASIO fundamental and applied research and establish strong relations with scientific and cultural centers of developed countries (France, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Israel, etc.). effective work is being done to establish good relations.
