Symptoms of a problem in and around the navel:
📌Redness of the umbilical cord itself or surrounding skin;
📌 The umbilical cord is swollen;
📌Fluid separates from the umbilicus;
📌Smells come from the navel;
📌The umbilical cord seems to be hurting the baby.
If any of these symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately. It is not possible to treat a baby’s umbilical problems at home. Sometimes umbilical hernia is life-threatening for the baby.
