Vitamin B12 (Cyanocabolamine)

Biologically active forms:
• oxocobalamin
• cyanocobalamin
It is an external Castle factor that needs an internal Castle factor (glycoprotein) to be absorbed in the gut.

Main functions:
1. In the synthesis of methionine;
2. In the methylation of DNA and RNA;
3. In the synthesis of nucleic acids;
4. Participates in the formation of nerve fibers and erythrocytes.

1. Lack of internal casting factor
2. Vitamin RR deficiency
3. Alimentary insufficiency
4. Smoking
Main symptoms:
