What is Grelin?
🔸Grelin is a peptide hormone responsible for appetite. It is mainly produced in the stomach, but some are also produced in the brain - the hypothalamus.
🔸The hormone level about doubles immediately before a meal and immediately begins to decline and reaches a minimum level after about 1-2 hours.
🔸When the stomach is emptied, the ghrelin level rises again and reaches its maximum after 3-4 hours, so the person wants to eat again.
