PROBIOTICS AND PREBIOTICS. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
🧪Probiotics are living microorganisms that have a sufficient positive effect on the human body. Probiotics increase the weight of beneficial bacteria in the gut in the short term, and this is especially important after treatment with antibiotics. However, this effect is not maintained for a long time, and foreign microorganisms in our body are quickly killed.

Studies show that the bacteria that enter the body change the composition of the microflora for a short time, but the initial state is quickly restored. It should also be noted that some probiotics have had adverse health effects. The immune response to any foreign microorganisms contained in probiotics can have both positive and negative effects. So it is important to remember that probiotics have both benefits and harms. It is important to consult a specialist before taking them.

Probiotics as a living microorganism:
✅Can't live in the gut all the time;
✅Dies under the influence of antibiotics;
✅Lives in the body for a short time (up to 5-7 days) and the human microflora squeezes them out;
✅It can transmit antibiotic resistance to human microflora strains.

🧫Prebiotics are indigestible and indigestible food components in the upper layers of the gastrointestinal tract, fermented in the colon microflora and stimulate their survival and development.

Prebiotics can affect the microflora more than probiotics. Because:
✅Does not break down in the gastrointestinal tract and is resistant to antibiotics and gastric acidic environment;
✅ Stimulates the growth and development of a number of beneficial bacterial strains of man;
✅Does not trigger the body's secondary immune response because it does not store foreign genes;
✅Does not store genes that stimulate antibiotic resistance.
Our next post will be about what probiotics and prebiotics are and how to choose and dosage them. Don't stay away from us.
