CAN A FATHER CLAIM ALIMENT FROM AN ADULT CHILD.

⚡️QUESTION;
My husband and I divorced a few years ago. One pays alimony to my child. Now she is telling me that I will get back the alimony I paid when my child grew up. My husband is now 45 years old and his income is good. What alimony can my child pay when he enters school when he grows up. How much alimony should I pay my spouse if he is right?

⚡️ANSWER;
Article 109 of the Proper Family Code stipulates that adult, able-bodied children must provide for and care for their disabled, needy parents. Article 110 of this Code stipulates that the amount of alimony collected from able-bodied adults and children shall not be less than 11,75% (96 soums) of the minimum wage established by law.

❗️However, what your spouse told you in your situation is not so true. As we have seen above, in order for an adult child to claim alimony, your spouse must be incapable of work and in need of support. If the child pays alimony when he or she reaches the age of 18 while still able to work, the courts will not be able to satisfy his or her application.
