Why do kidney stones appear?
The most common factors that increase the risk of kidney stones are:
• obesity;
• diabetes mellitus;
• hereditary predisposition;
• urinary tract infections;
• excess uric acid;
• diseases of the thyroid gland;
• lack of fluid.
However, like many diseases, kidney stones also depend on what a person eats and drinks.
Which food causes the problem? Consumption of salt, meat, sucrose and fructose, as well as large amounts of vitamins C and D (in large doses) - are key factors in the formation of kidney stones.
Excessive consumption of table salt dramatically increases the formation of stones, retains fluid in the body, leads to disruption of the normal excretion of urine and the deposition of salts. Also, the more sodium in the food, the more calcium is excreted from the body. 6 grams of salt releases 24-40 mg of calcium. If only 1 gram of extra salt is consumed every day, it will result in an additional 1% loss of bone mass.
Alcoholic and carbonated beverages contain large amounts of phosphoric acid. This substance causes various changes in the urinary tract and contributes to the development of chronic kidney disease and the formation of stones.
You also have to be careful with greens. Healthy foods can also be harmful if consumed in excess on a regular basis. Particular attention should be paid to greens such as spinach, horseradish, cilantro and parsley. These products contain oxalic acid, which prevents the normal excretion of salts in the body and promotes the formation of stones in the kidneys and bladder.
Most of the meat is also dangerous. When you eat more meat than you need per day, the amount of uric acid and calcium in your urine increases. They are very difficult to get out of the body and often cause kidney stones.
Honey is also the norm / less sweet! There should be a norm in everything!
