5 steps to a healthy diet

1. Do not drink liquids (especially sweets) after consuming protein foods (meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, mushrooms). This dilutes the gastric juice and, in turn, makes it harder to digest food.

2. Do not consume protein and carbohydrates together. Proteins need an acidic environment to digest, while carbohydrates are digested in an alkaline environment. The environment in the stomach cannot change very quickly, and when both are consumed, it is not fully digested.

3. You should not eat for two to three hours after consuming a significant amount of carbohydrate food. Food should be allowed to be well digested.

4. Do not eat fruits after meals. Fruits should be eaten separately (preferably instead of snacks) or they should be consumed at the beginning of a meal.

5. Do not eat sweets, especially protein, after the main meal.
