December 20 is International Human Solidarity Day
The International Human Solidarity Day is celebrated every year on December 2006 since 20 by the decision of the UN.
Solidarity is the unity of beliefs and actions, mutual help and support of members of a social group based on the need to achieve common interests and common group goals, joint responsibility.
The International Day of Human Solidarity was announced by the UN General Assembly in the resolution dedicated to the first decade of poverty eradication (No. 60/209).
The UN resolution refers to the Millennium Declaration that solidarity is one of the basic and universal values of humanity and should be the basis of international relations in the XNUMXst century.
