Today, December 4, is International Bank Day
In accordance with the resolution 2019/9 adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 74, 245, taking into account the importance of banks in global economic stability, the financial situation of countries, and the improvement of human lifestyle, it is decided to celebrate December 4 every year as International Bank Day .
In the Program of Actions of the Third International Conference on Development Financing, held on September 2015, 27 in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), special attention is paid to increasing the role of financial organizations and banking institutions in solving global problems.
It is recommended to properly celebrate the International Bank Day in cooperation with its member states, international, state and non-state organizations, based on national interests, taking into account the importance of banks in ensuring sustainable development.
