January 6 is Joan of Arc's birthday

Joan of Arc, daughter of Orleans, was born on January 6, 1412 in the French village of Domremy.

National hero of France.
Born in a simple peasant family, he grew up pious from a young age.

During the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453), he led the national struggle of the French people against the English invaders and caused a radical change in the war.

Jeanne relieved the besieged Orleans (1429). After that, she was given the name of the daughter of Orleans.
He was captured by the Burgundians in the battle near Compiegne and sold to the English. The English brought Jeanne to Rouen and handed her over to the ecclesiastical court.

The ecclesiastical court accused J. D'Arc of sorcery and witchcraft and burned him in the central square of Rouen (1431).
After the Hundred Years' War, Joan of Arc's innocence was fully proven during the Acquittal process called in France (1456).

The Pope later canonized him (1920).
