Today, August 14, is Mirkarim Asim's birthday

Mirkarim Osim was born on August 1907, 14 in the city of Tashkent.
Honored Teacher of Uzbekistan (1944), Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan (1977).
He graduated from the Bubnov Pedagogical Institute in Moscow (1926-30).
The first short story "Yangi Ariq" (1925) remained unpublished as a work idealizing the Kokan Khanate.
His first major work is the historical story "Astrobad" dedicated to the life of Alisher Navoi.
After that, he wrote a series of short stories and stories about Navoi (1937-40). He is the author of stories such as "To'maris", "Shirok", "Iskander and Spitamen", "Temur Malik", "Mahmud Torabi", "O'tror".
His works such as "Darkness Inside Light", "Ajdodlar Qissa", "Clouds on Jayhun", "Birth of Algebra", "Ibn Sino's Story", "Broken Setor" are among the best examples of Uzbek historical storytelling.

He died in 1984 in Tashkent.
