AI — Anti knock index, i.e. the anti-detonation index or the number of octanes in fuel.
If you put AI-80 gasoline in the car in relatively hot conditions, a hissing sound that is not like the sound of a normal engine will be added. This sound is heard when premature detonation occurs in the engine combustion chamber and multiple detonations occur. This process is damaging to the engine as the piston inside the cylinder is forced down from the top due to multiple explosions, even though the piston is still in the upward movement phase. Continuous detonations can occur due to the increase in pressure and temperature inside the cylinder, which, if not prevented, will later lead to damage to the cylinder and piston heads. At this time, the engine power drops. In a normal explosion, the piston must compress the air + fuel mixture to the maximum point (the highest point of the cylinder) and then the desired power is achieved. Without this compression ratio, you will never be able to drive the car at its potential power level. A car filled with AI-95 gasoline does not burn prematurely when the piston is compressed and increases the speed of the car.
