Secrets of Friday
Friday has many advantages over other days. One of them is that every step of a person who performs ghusl on Friday for Friday prayers, who comes to prayer early, and who prays in accordance with the etiquette of prayer and the mosque, is given the reward of one year of prayer and fasting. The observance of Friday begins before the day enters, from what is termed Friday evening. Preparations for Friday have been underway ever since.
There has been a lot of talk about the mandub of performing Friday morning prayers in the mosque, with the congregation, as much as possible. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: I will be shown the salawat recited on Friday. There is a time on Friday when prayers are answered. There is no doubt that if a person’s prayer is appropriate at that time, it will be answered.
The hadiths specifically describe the early arrival for Friday prayers. It tells in detail how much reward is written for the person who comes to this prayer at what time.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayra that
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:“ Whoever performs ghusl on Friday and comes to the mosque at the first hour of Friday prayer, his reward will be like sacrificing a camel. The man who comes the next hour is like sacrificing an animal. The man who comes in the third hour is like a ram sacrificed. Those who come at four o'clock will be like sacrificing a chicken. At the fifth hour, the one who arrives at the end will be like sacrificing an egg. ”
Narrated by Imam Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasai, and Tirmidhi.
When the imam ascended the pulpit on Friday for a sermon, the angels were present and listening to him. This means that not only Muslim slaves will come on Friday, but also angels will be present to hear the sermon. What a beautiful, venerable church the angels are now! Therefore, we must follow the etiquette of such a church. Therefore, a person who comes to church on Friday must perform ghusl. One of the wisdoms of this ghusl is to remove not only the impurity, but also the unpleasant odors from the body. After all, on Friday in the mosque will be a larger congregation than usual, there will be a crowd. Angels, on the other hand, try not to harm them because they are extremely delicate creatures.
