Cleaning the baby's nose

It is important not to confuse a baby’s difficulty breathing through the nose with a cold!

📌Lie your baby on his stomach and slowly turn his head to the side. In this case, the child breathes better because it prevents the child from expelling saliva accumulated in the airways or the tongue obstructs the airways.

📌Make the bedroom as dust-free and curtain-free as possible. Remove dust-collecting items from the room, i.e. soft toys, shiny pillows. If the child breathes well through the nose, toys may remain.

📌Keep the child away from odors that can adversely affect the respiratory tract. Cigarette smoke, the smell of paint, the smell of car exhaust fumes, perfumes and other perfume items can interfere with breathing. The child should not smoke in the house.

📌When the baby has a runny nose, if the baby has difficulty sucking, clean the nose using saline (1 teaspoons of salt in 2 liter of warm boiled water). To do this, hold the child vertically, pour 1-2 drops of saline (Sodium Chloride) on the nose or spray the saline solution 1 time and hold the child with his head below the body for a minute. The fluid inside the nose softens. If the liquid is too much or too thick to drain on its own, then use an aspirator. Withdraw the softened liquid from the brine with an aspirator without sticking your nose in from the head.
