Molochnitsa during pregnancy

If you have vaginal thrush:

  • The bristles should be wiped from the front to the back
  • Wash and wipe your hands thoroughly after using the toilet.
  • Don't use cheap or stiff toilet paper, they will only increase the discomfort
  • If you have irritability during urination, the vulva should be rinsed with warm water to help neutralize the acidity of the urine.
  • Fill a small bath with lukewarm water to reduce irritation
  • Drink plenty of water, it will mix your urine when you urinate and reduce irritation and burning.

Tips for fighting vaginal fungus:

  • Wear only cotton fabric underwear. Read the labels and do not wear pants that contain nylon, polyester, modal, bamboo or lycra.
  • Pay attention to how you wash your underwear. Boiling water, detergent and rinsing twice may be helpful. Do not use a dryer and it is better to dry clothes in the sun. A final rinse with an antifungal conditioner for the fabric may be helpful.
  • It is necessary to wear loose-fitting underwear. Narrow underwear does not provide enough air flow, which really helps to get rid of thrush.
  • Narrow jeans, leggings, tights and socks should not be worn. Ventilation helps to eliminate thrush.
  • Talk to your doctor about treating your partner. In men, the disease may be asymptomatic, but it can still be present. Molochnitsa may reappear due to re-infection after sexual intercourse.
  • Try to create cool conditions in the area of the vulva and vagina, and do not overheat until the molochnitsa passes.
  • Do not eat too much bread and bakery products. Yeast in food can contribute to the development of systemic problems associated with yeast infections.
  • Consumption of sugary foods should be limited. They can help the development of molochnitsa.
  • Take antibiotics only when absolutely necessary. Ask your doctor if it is possible to take an antibiotic that is less likely to increase the risk of thrush.
  • Take a shower at least twice a day, change underwear twice a day, and change towels every two days.
  • Do not use any aggressive soaps or body washes, bath foams, or vaginal scrubs, especially those with strong fragrances.
  • Eat natural yogurt every day and find that it contains natural acidophilus and bifidus bacteria.
  • Do not have sex until the milk is gone. Even if there is no risk to you, your baby or your partner, sex can irritate the skin and mucous membranes more and increase the risk of infection for your partner.
  • A bath with a little soda bicarbonate or vinegar can soothe.

Treatment of vaginal throat:

  • Pessaries are oval-shaped tablets that contain a concentrated dose of antifungal drug. They are usually provided with an applicator so they can be inserted deep into the vagina. The course consists of a package to be taken once or six times. A 6-day / night pack is usually recommended during pregnancy.
  • Vaginal creams delivered with an applicator. The cream is injected deeper into the vagina at night, so the active ingredient has longer contact with the surface of the mucous membrane.
  • A cream applied to the outer surface of the skin that contains the same ingredients as a vaginal cream, but with a different concentration. The use of this cream alone does not cure vaginal thrush.

Note: It may be helpful to put underwear pads on during lactation to prevent staining.

When should my companion be treated for molochnitsa?

If there is itching, redness, swelling, or discomfort in the penis or surrounding skin, it may also be molochnitsa. If the male partner has no symptoms, treatment is not currently recommended. The treatment is basically the same: antifungal creams and ointments.

Does Molochnitsa mean I can't get pregnant anymore?

No, molochnitsa does not affect fertility and does not increase the chances of pregnancy complications. It only spreads to the vaginal mucosa and surrounding skin.
