Abulgozi Bahadikhan and his work "Shajarai Turk".
The history of Uzbekistan cannot be imagined without the history of Khorezm. Because one of the cradles of the Uzbek nation, its statehood and culture is the ancient oasis of Khorezm.
Khan of Khiva (1512-1688), a historian, scholar, and physician Abulghozi Bahadirkhan, a prominent representative of the Shaibani dynasty (1644-1663), who ruled in Khorezm.
Abulghazi Khan sat on the throne of Khiva in the process of complex political and social development, in a precarious situation, as a result of intense struggles. As the head of the state, he fought to end the feudal political disunity, establish and strengthen the centralized state power, and ensure the country's independence.
After Abulghazi's death, the power of the khan weakened. As a result of the "game of promoting one or another prince" in state politics, the Inoks strengthened their influence. "After Abulghazi Khan from the Shaibani Khans," writes Mulla Olim Makhdum Khoji, "the khans were satisfied with the kingship in name alone, and had no government or administration in their hands, but worked according to the wishes and their words... the Inoks used to do khanboza".
The well-known Hungarian scientist H. Vambery said: "Abulghazi reminds us of Babur along with all aspects of his life." If the poet and scientist Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur created the universally important work "Boburnoma" in the old Uzbek-Chigatai language in the XNUMXth century and made an incomparable contribution to the development of the Uzbek people and its literary language, Abulgozi in the XNUMXth century became a bright star of history science in Turkish language. His mission is as great as the establishment of a centralized state.
Abulghozi, who knew several languages perfectly, wrote in Turkish, not in Arabic and Persian, according to the traditions of that time. "Let everyone know this history, good and bad," I said in Turkish. I also spoke Turkish in such a way that a young boy can understand it." One of his such works is called "Shajarai tarokima", and it is assumed that this work was "written in 1658-1611" at the request of Turkmen chiefs and beks. This work was published in St. Petersburg in 1958 with a critical text, Russian translation and research by Academician AN Kononov (1900-1986). Now it has been published in modern Uzbek.
Abulgazi's second work, "Shajari Turk va Moghul", was written in 1664 and was not completed due to his death. The work was completed by Mahmud ibn Muhammad Urganji with the will of Abulgazi and the commission of his son Anusha Khan.
This work consists of a brief introduction and 9 chapters. It is a genealogy of Turks from Adam to Mongol Khan, Genghis Khan and Shaybani Khan, who ruled in Movarounnahr, East Turkestan, and Mongolia. zi socio-political events are described. The last chapter IX of the work deals with the Shaibani dynasties that ruled in Khorezm and constitutes the most valuable part. It contains information about Turko-Mongol tribes, their origin, the meaning of their names, and their places of residence. Among the historical and political information in the work, the Shayban nation, its creation and borders, the state of this nation at the end of the XNUMXth and the beginning of the XNUMXth century, the socio-political situation of Khorezm in the first half of the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, the relations of the Khiva khanate with the Russian, Kazakh and Bukhara khanates. The highlighted places are very valuable in researching the issues and problems of the historiography of the history of Uzbekistan.
This work introduced Abulgazi Khan to the world as a historian and scientist. It was translated into European languages from the 1992th century. Finally, in XNUMX, the work was published in modern spelling under the editorship of B. Ahmedov.
The above-mentioned alone makes it possible to consider Abulghozi Bahadirkhan and his works as a great person who made a great contribution to the science of historiography.
