CAN A MOTHER RECEIVING ALIMONY GET CHILD PAYMENT?

⚡️QUESTION;
I am divorced from my family. My husband is currently paying alimony for two children. Am I not entitled to child support because of the alimony I receive?

⚡️ANSWER;
According to the regulation approved by Government Resolution No. 654, the alimony received is taken into account in calculating the average monthly total income of the family.

✏️ According to the above norm, it is correct to count the received alimony as income in order to give child allowance to the family, but there is no place in the statute that says that child allowance is not given because alimony has been received. When calculating the received alimony with the other income of your family, it should not exceed 498 thousand soums per person.
