What do we know about claustrophobia?

Claustrophobia is a disease of fear of being stuck in closed places, windowless, narrow places (elevator, coffin) and similar places. This term comes from the Latin "claustrum" - closed space and "phobos" - fear.

The world's most famous claustrophobes include comedian Woody Allen, actress Uma Thurman, member of the Nirvana band Dave Grohl, actor Ryan Reynolds, and Canadian pop musician Justin Bieber. But the most famous among them is Robert Langdon, professor of symbology at Harvard University, a fictional character written by Dan Brown. In the picture you can see Tom Hanks playing the role of Professor Langdon in the movie "Inferno".
