WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE OF GIVING A NAME TO A CHILD?
📃 According to Article 69 of the Family Code, a child has the right to a name, patronymic and surname.
✅ The name of the child is given according to the agreement of the parents, and the patronymic is given according to the name of the father.
✅ The surname of the child is determined according to the surname of the parents. When the parents have different surnames, the child is given the surname of the father or mother, according to the agreement of the parents. According to the wishes of the parents, the child can be given a surname by the father or mother according to the grandfather's name according to national traditions.
❗️When there is no agreement between the parents regarding the child's name or surname, the conflict that has arisen will be resolved by the body of guardianship and patronage.
