Every year on December 23, Egypt celebrates the withdrawal of British, French and Israeli troops from the country in 1956. This day became one of the national holidays and was called the National Day of Port Said.

Port Said is a city located in the north-eastern part of Egypt, on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, at the northern entrance of the Suez Canal. The population of the city exceeds 500 thousand people. Port Said is a unique sea gate for Egypt. The city was founded in 1859 and was named after Said Pasha, who was the ruler of Egypt at that time.
