How to reduce internet consumption by browser? 🤔

Let’s say you’re in a situation where your traffic is limited and going through pages on the internet is bound to affect your balance. Going through the pages, which consist of text and media images on the sites for half an hour, alone - consumes about 200 Mb of traffic.

To reduce this cost, you can disable the loading of images on pages that are larger than X Kb in size. In this case, you specify the value of X.

1️⃣. Share the uBlock extension:
Google Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm) | Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/).
2️⃣. Go to plugin settings.
3️⃣. Set a special check mark in front of "Block media items".
4️⃣. Specify a threshold value for the size of the images that can be uploaded. Keep in mind that a single page of the site can contain dozens of images.
5️⃣. You can also set the value to 0 to completely disable the upload of images.

Ready. Your browser reduces traffic consumption. If you want to restore them all, you can go to the same menu and remove the special icon. The restrictions apply to any type of media: audio, video, GIFs and images.
