Tarkan (Husamettin) Tevet oglu was born on October 1972, 17, in the small town of Elzee in Frankfurt, Germany, on the Maine River. His father is Turkmen. Height 1,74 cm. Weight 70 kg. Tarkan's parents, Mrs. Neshe and Ali Bey Elze, lived in a rented house and worked in a factory. Ms. Neshe was involved in a car accident one day. The woman was pregnant at the time. Ali Bey, who rushed his wife to the hospital, was told by a gynecologist, Neshe, that the fetus must be aborted or the baby would be born crippled. "Nothing," said Ali Bey calmly, "you see, everything will be fine." A few days before the accident, Ali Bey had a son in a dream, and his son was a healthy, sharp-tongued, in a word, a future singer. "It's true that the worst thing in my life was before I was born," Tarkan said. Tarkan's parents taught him to always be honest and to listen to the juicy voice that was boiling inside him. "The fifth child out of six is ​​not given so much attention by many parents," said the singer. Tarkan's childhood was spent watching football. At the age of 10, he became a member of a local football club. Without the player, he could have been a veterinarian or an ecologist, because he cared about nature the most among his peers.

Ali Bey's dream of having a house and a garden in Karamurzel was not in vain. He was an entrepreneur and a gentle designer. He bought a beautiful house from Karamurzel for the money he had earned, and his son Tarkan was 14 when he moved his family. Here Tarkan began attending a music school where famous composers taught. In the meantime, Tarkan moved with his two friends to Istanbul, a separate rented house, to pursue an engineering career. However, he failed to pass the faculty exams.

Tarkan met Mehmet Sogutoglu, the owner of the Istanbul Studio, through his friend Alpay Aydin. In 1992, he released his first album, Yine Sensiz (Again Without You) at Istanbul Studio. The song "Kil oldum abi" from this album soon became very popular among the listeners. Thanks to this song, Turkey recognized Tarkan. In 1994, together with Sezen Aksu, he released the album A-Acayipsin (You Are Amazing). He has given 24 concerts in Turkey and Europe with this album. This album has sold over 2,5 million copies.

He later moved to New York to study the language. There, he met renowned American producer Ahmet Ertegün and created new works at Atlantic Records. His 1995 concert at the Palladium in New York was a huge success. In July 1997, he released his 3rd album, Olurum Sana. It became one of the best-selling albums of all time. That same year, he founded his own music company, HITT. In 1998, Tarkan voted for protagonist Hercules in the Turkish dubbing of Walt Disney’s cartoon Hercules.

Tarkan returned to Turkey on January 2000, 14, to give a concert, all proceeds of which were spent on post-earthquake repairs, and to serve in the army, which is the home tower. He enlisted in the army shortly after the concert.

In 2001, five different versions of Tarkan's song Kuzu Kuzu were released. Later, the album "Karma" was released. That same year, the Washington Post, a well-known US newspaper, published an article about Tarkan as a cultural treasure of Turkey. The Washington Post reports that the artist is the owner of the best-selling non-Russian pop star's album, which ranks in the charts from France to Denmark. In 2003 he released the album "Dudu". The first song on the album, Dudu, was considered the best foreign song in Russia. In 2004, he starred in an advertisement for OPET, Turkey's largest gasoline company. In 2005 he released an album called “Bounce” which was a huge success. In 2006, he released an album called Come Closer. He released song 2 for the song Strat The Fire on the album. In addition to remixes and songs, he released his 6th Turkish album, Metamorphosis, on December 26, 2007. The album’s sales number exceeded 10 in 350.000 days.

Currently, Tarkan Tevetoglu is busy writing many songs.

In April 2016, he married his German girlfriend Pinar Dilek. The wedding took place first in Istanbul and then in Cologne, Germany.
