Today, August 31, is the day when the statue of Amir Temur was opened in Tashkent

On August 1994, 31, on the eve of the Independence Day, the famous sculptor Ilhom Jabbarov presented a bronze statue of Amir Temur to the people of Tashkent.

A representative of the academic school of sculpture, the master sculptor traveled around the world many times: in Mexico, he reconsidered his work after seeing the sculptures of Rivera, Orasco and Siqueiros.

It was as a result of this creative journey that Ilhom Jabbarov, an academician of the Academy of Arts, an honored artist of Uzbekistan, created the statue of the equestrian Amir Temur in such a wonderful way.

Later, statues of Amir Temur, a great statesman of the Middle Ages, a great general, the founder of a strong, centralized state, patron of science and culture, were erected in the central squares of Samarkand and Shahrisabz.
